Flight Bookings

When you make a flight booking through this website the principal restrictions (such as cancellation and refund rules) applying to the flight will be brought to your attention where they are supplied to us by the carrier. Please note that purchase of an airline ticket does not guarantee you a seat on a specified aircraft. Airline overbooking policy often results in failure of the carrier to provide a seat on a booked flight for a passenger holding a valid ticket. If you wish to know any further details of the terms and conditions or overbooking policy of a particular carrier please contact the carrier directly. We will endeavour to give you the contact details for the relevant carrier if you call the ticketing advice line advertised on the footer of the website.

Making a Booking

When you submit a request to book a travel service at a price shown on this website we will send you an email by return confirming that your booking request has been received. This email will set out the details of the travel service you have requested and your credit card payment details.

On confirmation from the relevant service provider of the availability of the requested service your credit card will be debited and we will confirm the booking by email to you when the full price of the service has been received.

Please note that no contract for the supply of any service at the price offered on this website shall come into existence until the full price of the service has been received and you receive confirmation that the service has been booked.

We make every effort to try to ensure the prices shown on this website are accurate. However, as all the services on this website are offered by third parties, some of the prices may not be accurate at the time of booking. Once the full price of the service has been received we shall not alter the price of the service. The suppliers of certain travel services may however, under their terms and conditions be able to alter the price of some services, for example due to increases in flight or airport taxes or fluctuations in currency exchange rates. If the price of the service changes due to any inaccuracy on the website or change in price by the supplier we will notify you of such change before proceeding with your booking, giving you an opportunity to reconsider your booking.

Tickets and any other travel documents will be dispatched to the address of the Finn-Guild member only and to no other address. We aim to send your tickets for scheduled flights within 24 hours of payment being accepted. If your flight ticket is not issued within 24 hours of us taking the payment, the booking is protected by the Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL 5626).

When you receive any confirmatory e-mails from us and your tickets and/or other documents please check all details in such e-mails, tickets and documents and notify us as soon as is possible if there are any errors. The carrying of appropriate travel documents, including valid passport and where appropriate the necessary visas, is the responsibility of the traveller. Details of passport and visa requirements are available when requested in writing from Guild Travel Ltd.

Travel insurance is highly recommended and cover for most journeys and risks can be obtained from Guild Travel Ltd.

Changes to or Cancellation of Your Booking

Cancellations and changes are not usually possible once you have made your booking. All Guild Travel special fares with Finnair / SAS cannot be changed or cancelled, but in the case of some other type of flight tickets, some carriers may refund some of the price you have paid for the tickets. Your right to a refund will be set out in the service provider’s terms and conditions applicable to the particular service you have booked. In most cases carriers will not refund any of the price paid by you, and only taxes and some of the fees can be refunded in case of a cancellation. We will charge a £5 fee per ticket for administering a ticket refund application.

If you wish to alter your flight details or any other any other services you have booked through the website in any way then such alteration may be allowed under the service provider’s terms and conditions. If alteration is allowed then the service provider may levy a charge for this. Please let us know at your earliest opportunity should you wish to alter any of your bookings. In all cases, where changes to your booking are permissible by the relevant service provider, we will charge a £25 fee for administering such changes.
